2026 will mark the 63rd anniversary of ORAPEX, the Ottawa philatelic exhibition. ORAPEX is one of only a few national-level stamp shows held annually in Canada. Our show has two themes this year: “Aerophilately” and “Bytown”—the original name of Ottawa—which was founded in 1826, 200 years ago.

The show features a wide range of competitive exhibits, society and study group meetings, and about 35 dealers from across Canada. Free admission and parking.
The Ottawa Regional Association of Philatelic Exhibitions (ORAPEX), founded in 1961, was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 2021 and is supported by the Ottawa Philatelic Society (OPS), the Alta Vista Stamp Club and the Amicale des Philatélistes de l’Outaouais (APO).
As one of the few National Stamp Shows held annually in Canada, ORAPEX is part of the American Philatelic Society’s ‘World Series of Philately.’ Sponsors, dealers, exhibitors, philatelic societies, volunteers and visitors make it Canada’s premiere philatelic destination every Spring.
ORAPEX boasts more than 100 frames of exhibits, hosts one of the largest dealer bourses in the country, and convenes an impressive series of society meetings, seminars and study groups. Kids enjoy the Youth Booth which has plenty to offer young collectors. The show’s awards reception is a highlight of the weekend and a great chance for socializing.
